If you’re a total beginner, my German Kickstarter course is exactly what you’re looking for – scroll down to the German Accelerator course if you’ve completed an A1 course:

How does it work?

You learn new concepts independently and at your pace by watching pre-recorded video lectures and completing follow-up practice tasks. Answers are provided online so you immediately know what you’ve understood well and what you’d like to look at in more detail.

The idea behind this is that you can fit the learning around your busy schedule and lay the groundwork for what we do in our live sessions. This allows us to maximise hands-on practice and speaking time so you can build confidence quickly.

Rather than using valuable 1:1 time to explain new topics from scratch, you already know where you have questions and we can design activities in the 1:1 session around your personal needs.

Why does it work?

It works because the bite-size structure ensures that you are not overwhelmed. You do a little bit of German every day five days a week as opposed to only once a week, for example.

Only when you are exposed to German on a regular basis will you start to retain new words. Our brain needs repetition so it can build new connections, which is exactly what you need to do when you learn vocabulary.

The structure of the course helps you establish this routine so that doing a bit of German every day soon becomes a new habit. Small efforts compound, and if you manage to expose yourself to the language for 10-15 minutes a day, it will be far more effective than trying to do a lot on just one day a week.

You’ll soon realize that you’re making steady progress in German and what can be more motivating than beginning to understand and use German successfully in Switzerland so you can start to fit in better? Let’s see what my clients have to say:

Feedback on the German Kickstarter and Accelerator:

Davide Lonigro

„I started learning German a long time ago and then I stopped. Back then, I was almost A2. Fast forward: relocation to Switzerland. I wanted to start working on the language but with a professional boost and I came across Sandra.

After an introductory meeting where she evaluated my current status, we started having our weekly 1:1 and in roughly six months I was able to regain control of my A1 skills, build up and master my A2 skills and set the ground for B1.

A remarkable achievement, all possible because of the course structure created by Sandra, and her lessons where she clarified any doubts I had. Her method is simple, clearly structured and cleverly designed.

If you are looking for a great language coach out there, my tip for you is: look for Sandra.“

German Accelerator Course (A2)

  • designed for busy professionals
  • 15-20 minutes of easy-to-follow German a day
  • weekly 1:1 live session with Sandra
  • plenty of real-life speaking practice
  • 14 weeks to reach level A2
  • professional videos and practical exercises
  • life access to online platform
  • clear and detailed lesson notes
  • 100 % success rate
  • everything you need to pass an A2 exam!

This course builds on the German Kickstarter course for level A1, but it can also be taken as a separate course if you’ve already successfully completed an A1 course. Perhaps you’d also like to fill in some A2 gaps so you can move from understanding the language to actively using it.

Depending on where you are on your journey, you can also start halfway through or dip into certain modules to catch up on topics you’re not yet sure about. We establish the best course of action in a discovery call.

How does the course work?

You learn at your own pace through short, pre-recorded video lessons and follow-up tasks, with instant answers to check your understanding.

This flexible approach fits around your busy schedule, makes sure you are not overwhelmed and prepares you perfectly for our 1:1 live sessions.

Instead of spending valuable 1:1 time explaining new concepts, we focus on what matters most to you: personalised activities, practical application and speaking practice to build confidence faster.

Why does it work?

Unlike long one-off study sessions, short but regular practice helps your brain retain new vocabulary and build lasting connections. By spending just 15-20 minutes on German five days a week, you’ll make noticeably more progress than by studying intensively once a week.

The structured approach helps you establish a sustainable learning routine, turning small daily efforts into steady progress.

And as you begin to understand and use German more confidently in everyday life in Switzerland, you’ll feel more at home here, too.

Feedback on the German Kickstarter and Accelerator:

Lorraine Madur

I always was reluctant about the German language and my ability to learn it due to past experiences. With this programme, however, it seems possible for me to learn it.

Sandra is always encouraging and pushing me to see my progress instead of focusing on my mistakes. She is also very patient and never hesitates to re-explain if needed, even if we saw certain notions some time ago. I am very happy to be on this course and to be able to progress because of it. Thank you very much Sandra!

Why choose me?

Hi, I’m Sandra. Like you, I’ve had the experience of living abroad, and I know what it’s like when you struggle to communicate in the way that comes naturally in your first language. It can leave you feeling awkward, or that you’re just not coming across as ‘yourself’.

My client Cristiana felt the same. She landed in Switzerland from Denmark, and for a while got by using English. But as time went on, she became frustrated with not being able to communicate with her neighbours in a small village outside Zurich, or carry out basic tasks like switching a hair appointment.

She came to me, and within three months she’d reached A1, and could deal with all those everyday situations. Another three months after that, she was A2 and felt even more confident using German in day-to-day life. She began to realize that if she kept going, she’d be able to integrate better and might even be able to get a job which requires German. Here’s what she said:

“It practically changed my life when I was first time able to pick up the phone and make a call or answer a call where I knew I must speak in German.”
